My name is Zac, the sole owner and operator of Typesetter. I have worked within the engraving and print industry my whole career and now plan to carve out my own slice - Typesetter - to share with everyone. I wish to provide the same exceptional typesetting service in this new venture as I have done so in my past, with transparency and honesty being the cornerstones of this business.

I chose typesetting to kick off my entrepreneurial journey as this is what I enjoyed the most, and excelled at, within the manufacturing pipeline. Coincidentally, this is also the easiest part of the process to outsource for manufacturers - making it a viable business opportunity - and also the most affordable to get started. So, with a clear idea in place, I thought I'd just give it a go.

Being a mostly online-facing business, and already possessing the skills necessary to typeset, a website was the obvious place to start. Fortunately for me, I have a strong interest in technology and programming, and so this very website was made entirely by me - no AI or website builder - just plain HTML and CSS, running through the Ruby on Rails web framework, deployed on the cloud using Docker. By taking the time to learn and develop each part of this website myself, I have the control to implement ideas and services the way I want, and the way that will work best for my clients.

So while I start this business offering a simple service, I plan to expand the scope of what I can provide in a way that will work in with your business needs. It's you who will give me my work, so I want to provide a service that you'll look forward to and receive substantial value from.
